Welcome to Riverway Elementary School, the proud home of the Otters!

As the principal, I am honored to lead a school that is strongly committed to student growth and success. It is through the dedication of our students, staff, families and community partnerships that make this growth possible. 

At Riverway, we believe that every child deserves to learn to their fullest potential through limitless opportunities and celebrating growth. Our staff work tirelessly to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. We do this through a focus on strong academic first instruction, Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Response to Intervention (RTI), growth mindset and a motivating environment. To support our school being a place of significance and belonging for our students and staff, we use C.A.R.E. Our Otters C.A.R.E. everyday in all settings. C.A.R.E. stands for Compassion, Act Responsibly, Respect and Encourage Best Effort.

As we begin a new school year, we invite you to be an active member of our community. The partnership between school and home can drastically support your student. We appreciate your support fostering a love of learning and a mentality of being a life-long learner. Reading for thirty minutes daily is highly encouraged at home. For families looking for ways to further connect with school, consider joining our PTA or reaching out to your child’s teacher for volunteer opportunities.
